FINDLAY — Dr. Vincent McGinniss of Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics of Northwest Ohio was named a rising star by the Miami Cosmetic Surgery’s mentee program for early career physicians.
McGinniss graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing with a scholarship from the U.S. Air Force.
“Being hospital-employed is a unique situation for a plastic surgeon,” McGinniss said in a press release. “With that, I am essentially creating a whole new department of plastic surgery and adding much more. there are hurdles and barriers because it is a newer concept for a hospital model, but we have been able to be very successful … (and) do things like platelet-rich plasma for hair regeneration, as well as a variety of advanced filler techniques and laser skin resurfacing—all types of treatments and procedures that you wouldn’t typically see at your average hospital.”
Blanchard Valley Health System has opened a new plastic surgery office in Findlay.
The former MedSpa at 2113 Tiffin Ave., is now Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics of Northwest Ohio, lead by otolaryngologist Dr. Vincent McGinniss and gynecologist Dr. Lorie Thomas. The office specializes in a variety of cosmetic and body enhancement treatments like botox, CoolSculpting, derma fillers, rhinoplasty and face and neck lifts.
